Introduction

Here at TBG, we have a thing for coolers, we’ve tested well over 60 at this point, including a number of coolers from Corsair, specifically the all-in-one liquid coolers that the company is known for, and frankly had a huge hand in bringing to market. In this review, we check out one of Corsair’s latest offerings, the iCUE H150i RGB Pro XT.

The Test

Here are the coolers included in this test:

  1. Corsair iCUE H150i RGB Pro XT ($160)
  2. Scythe Fuma 2 ($60)
  3. Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.black ($100)
  4. Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 ($125)

And here’s the system setup:

Final Thoughts

Well, in the end, Corsair comes out about where we would expect: the H150i is amazing if all you care about is performance, but Corsair gets you to that point with crazy-high fan speeds. To a great extent, this approach was likely informed by cooler reviews that prioritized performance above all else, but we’ve made it our mission over the past few years to change the industry, and in our own small way, we think we have. Thus, in our noise-normalized results, Corsair falls a bit behind, but it’s still competitive, which means that with a little tweaking to its fan design, it could definitely reclaim the title of the #1 choice in AIO coolers.
