Thanks Ari,

this was very clear. I'm ready to order.

Is there a section on the forum where the software options are discussed ? Now that i have my build ready, what is the best media center software to use? I've long used Plex + AppleTV, but open to change. Sorry if it's straighforward, didn't see any recent topics.

Tom,

There really isn't much discussion of software on the Forum, although I assume you saw this announcement from Plex regarding HTPC support, which it has since reversed. I do think that in the long run, the number of options in the media center software market is going to shrink, not grow, but hopefully whatever you go with will be around for a while to come!

Ok, so I assume Plex or Kodi are the main choices?

I see you recommend Windows 10 in your builds. Is Linux an option altogether, or would it fail to leverage max res etc?

Thanks again

Tom

Actually, for an HTPC, linux is a fine option. Here's a recent post by another forum user about his experience with linux.
