Thanks Ari! I will give those drivers a try. New cable will be here Sunday.

I will let you know how it goes!

Thanks!

I downloaded both drivers and updated.
I will keep you posted. Thanks for all your help!

Ari,
It has been a week or so since I posted results. I want to let everyone know that with the driver updates and selecting manual source input, and installing the better HDMI cable, my display has been working great.
The only time I see a flash to black for a fraction of a second is when I am looking at a YouTube video, then the open window will sometimes flash black. Just for a quick second or so. Hasn't done it very often, so I can live with it.
This computer is much much faster than my old one and I am very happy with the results of the build.
Thank you for the direction and the help. I have been telling everyone about your site when computer chat comes up..

Thanks again!!
Dick

Dick - thanks for sharing your positive experience with the build and the site! Glad to hear your monitor is now working, wish I could tell you which one of those tweaks made the difference, but sometimes you've got to try a few things and be happy when it all sorts itself out!

In the latest May edition you recommend 16 GB and also write it in the text, but the link to Amazon is a 2x4 GB kit.
