So hard to manage an addiction...
« on: July 01, 2018, 03:37:53 AM »
I know it's tough to look ahead, but....

By 1st quarter 2019...
*4k 27" IPS G-sync gaming monitors w/ super-fast refresh...
*Z390 and/or X399 Intel chipsets?
*Intel i9-9900k..(https://wccftech.com/intel-core-i9-coming-to-z390-mainstream-platform-core-i9-9900k-flagship/)
*nVidia 1180 GPU...

And whether a new MB w/ new cpu would even fit in a Mini-ITX form-factor case... It was a hard build in 2016 working in an Ncase Mini-ITX size... move up in case size...

(Well, if I stop going to Dunkin' 5 days a week ($60/month)...@ $400. more towards new system......... :) Ha...)

You should post in this thread, where another TBG reader is daydreaming just like you are!!! ;)

But seriously, the 4k 27" 144Hz G-Sync monitor is already here (well, at least in theory, in reality it's backordered likely forever...), the Z390 has been cancelled, the 9900K should be interesting but probably won't arrive by Q1'19, and the GeForce 1180 is going to be here far soonerr, likely September (for "release" purposes, but wide availability will be November).
