Black Friday 2017
« on: November 16, 2017, 01:23:34 PM »
Hey all,

This year, we're not going to call out a lot of specific Black Friday deals, as the best ones sell out instantly anyway, but we'll compile the adscans that we come across so you can plan ahead for your BF shopping.

First up is Newegg, which has by far the most comprehensive deals on PC components for Black Friday.

The most interesting things we see are deals on the MX300 1TB SSD from Crucial for under $240 (currently $290), Ryzen CPUs (including the 1800X at $320), and a bunch of nice deals on Corsair and CoolerMaster cases, plus Corsair and Logitech peripherals.

More to follow, if we find any worth posting!

So this year's BF doesn't look all that compelling in terms of PC components, but for anyone looking to pick up an SSD, you ought to jump on the hot deal Crucial has going on its MX300 1TB. It's $238, down from $290 prior to this week, and it's the only 1TB-class drive that's legitimately on sale. Samsung's competing 850 Evo is $300 right now, which is far higher than it was last year at this point.

Best deals I've seen so far on Newegg is an MSI 15.6" Laptop with an I5-7300Q, a 1050 and 1 TB HDD for $599 after MIR which is an awesome deal for an entry level gaming latptop. Newegg also has a ASUS 1080 for $499 after MIR.

Thanks for combing through the deals, Abowman!

That laptop is indeed a great value. Here's a link for those who might be interested.

In terms of video cards, the sales are few and far between, but for anyone interested in the GTX 1080, the best value going right now is the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce, for $500 from Amazon.

P.S. Why haven't you signed up for the prize drawing yet?!?
