Today, we implemented a number of changes to the website to improve the functionality of the home page and overall site navigation. We also implemented the latest security patches, which are unfortunately becoming more of a critical issue as the frequency of site hacking increases. Finally, we removed the Google+ social media icons from the site, as Google has shut down the service.

The home page was updated for the first time since the full site redesign in 2015. We added additional slots for article links, removing the outdated message introducing the site, as well as user testimonials. At this point, plenty of people around the world know what TBG is all about - they don't need to hear it from someone else!

The menu system was also updated to provide a more user-friendly navigation system for desktop PC users (our core audience), while retaining the mobile-friendly design "hamburger" menu implemented back in 2015. Best of both worlds, you know?!?

If you have comments or questions about this site update, feel free to post them here!

We'll also be swinging by the Intel booth (which may have some interesting announcements) and the Nvidia booth (which likely won't have anything PC related, sadly), as well as networking pioneers TP-Link and D-Link, where we'll find out the latest on next-gen 802.11ax!

Do you have questions for any or all of these manufacturers that you've always wanted answered? Post them here and we'll do our best to get you the answers!

Huge discounts today, Sept. 27, 2018, on some really great PC gear. You can browse the full list here, or just go with our top picks:

(1) EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC plus 600 BQ power supply - $360
This is $30 less than buying just the video card, and is the perfect upgrade for an older gaming PC!

(2) AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core CPU - $220
That's $70 off the regular price of $70, making it the perfect pick for any productivity PC. We suggest pairing it with the Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi motherboard for a perfect low-cost workstation PC!

(3) Acer Predator Z35P 35" Ultra-Wide Monitor - $700
That's an amazing $160 off the price it's been selling for over the past few months, making it an absolutely stellar deal. This monitor debuted at over $1,000 earlier this year! It's likely the best gaming monitor on the market, thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate, 3440 x 1440 resolution, and curved 35" VA panel.

(4) Asus Radeon RX 580 4GB Dual OC - $200
Lowest price ever on what may be the perfect 1080p gaming GPU. This had been selling for well over $250 all year, and most recently was discounted to $225. So another $25 discount is very nice!

(5) Crucial BX300 240GB Solid-State Drive - $38
Give your older PC a shot in the arm with a new SSD from Crucial! With most 250GB-class SSDs selling for around $70, this BX300 is an absolute steal!

(6) Corsair 2x8GB Vengeance LED White DDR4-3200 RAM - $150
Coming in at $30 below most 3200MHz kits, this great-looking 16GB kit from Corsair is the perfect upgrade for just about any desktop PC!
