Optimizing settings for PC gaming...
« on: December 31, 2016, 01:44:15 PM »
I came across this utility program. http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php , and specifically, http://www.speedguide.net/articles/windows-10-anniversary-updates-to-tcp-6266

I think 'back in the day' I used this to help with router settings, etc to try to improve online gaming. I'm wondering if would would help now. Routers now seem to be more gamer-friendly.

Very interesting. Hadn't come across that before, but for the most part it looks like the options are either enabled by default in Win10 Anniversary or not easy to modify. Still, good to hear that progress is being made on reducing latency.
